Terms of Service
Last updated: August 9, 2026
Draft pending legal review. Items marked [[…]] are placeholders awaiting confirmed company details.
1. Agreement
These terms are between you and [[LEGAL ENTITY NAME]](“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using InciSights you agree to them. If you are using the service on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.
2. What the service is
InciSights structures and aggregates publicly filed cosmetics registration data from China's National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) and related public sources, and presents it as ingredient-, brand-, factory- and product-level market intelligence.
3. Accounts
You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your sign-in credentials secure. Accounts are for the individual or organisation they are issued to and must not be shared. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service, attempt to circumvent plan limits, or scrape the service in bulk.
4. Accuracy, and what this data is not
This section matters more than any other. Please read it.
- We report filings, we do not verify them. The underlying records are what companies filed with the regulator. We normalise and aggregate them; we do not independently confirm that a filing is accurate, current, or that the product is on sale.
- AI-generated assessments are estimates. Where the service labels content as AI-generated — including formula scores, estimated material cost and estimated retail price ranges — those figures are produced by a model from the ingredient list. They are not sourced, verified, or audited data.
- Not regulatory or legal advice. Nothing here is a compliance determination, a safety assessment, or a substitute for professional advice. Do not rely on it as the sole basis for a registration, formulation, procurement or investment decision.
- Features under development are labelled as such. Where the interface says a capability is in development, it is not available and should not be assumed when choosing a plan.
The service is provided “as is”, without warranties of accuracy, completeness, or fitness for a particular purpose, to the extent permitted by law.
5. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Resell, redistribute, or publish the data as a competing dataset or product
- Use automated means to extract data at scale outside any API we provide
- Attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours
- Use the service to infringe third-party rights or to break applicable law
6. Intellectual property
Underlying regulatory filings are public records and are not claimed by us. Our structuring, enrichment, aggregations, scoring, interface and documentation are our property. Your plan grants you a non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use outputs for your own internal business purposes.
7. Plans and payment
Plan entitlements are described on the pricing page. Online checkout is not currently offered; plan changes are arranged directly with us. Where limits apply, we may restrict access once a limit is reached.
8. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, lost profits, or business decisions taken in reliance on the service. Our total liability is limited to the fees you paid in the [[12 months]] preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms. Sections 4, 6 and 8 survive termination.
10. Governing law and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of [[governing jurisdiction]]. Questions: [[legal@yourdomain]].
